Question by : Does a literal translation of the Ancient Hebrew Bible exist ?
It is often argued by believers of any kind that any contradictory, unclear or unscientific statement in the Bible can be attributed to translation mistakes and later additions. We have access to the Ancient Hebrew texts, so does something like a literal/mechanical translation exist ? And if it doesn’t, why doesn’t it ? Surely fabricating an undisputable translated version would be much easier than arguing about mistakes or flaws in the modern day versions.

Answer by CalleyD
absolutely
youngs literal translation (YLT) and literal version (LITV)

1 Corinthians Chapter 2: 1And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things …

1 Corinthians 14 1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. 6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? 7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? 8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? 9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. 10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me. 12 …
I thought I’d provide a bit of balance to yesterday’s Islamic bookish image with a shot of a couple of Judaic titles from my bookshelf.

The Tanakh is of course fundamentally important to Judaism and needs no explanation. The other title offers a fascinating insight into the Hasidic community in New York, and the ‘rebels’ who are turning their back on the strictly orthodox way of life. Wholly recommended!

Between a Hollywood superstar and a voice actor, the latter actually works harder. It is quite tough for a voice actor to put feelings and emotions to what he is reading, all the while knowing that he’s not seen on screen. He must get into the skin of the character and pump life into the dialogues. It is in this realm where voice over training is essential.

Voice over artists are able to master the craft of voice acting and find good employment in this field by going through voice over training. Thousands of animated TV shows, cartoons, radio advertisements, web shows and movies are made on a regular basis. Moreover, each movie/TV show has a cast of more than 20-30 characters. There are worldwide opportunities galore for a voice actor.

Voice over training course – the fundamental skills that you ought to possess

Diction is one of the most vital tools of the trade. Perfect enunciation is demanded from the student, hence, it is necessary for him to go to speech classes to perfect his diction. Every voice over actor has two roles to fulfill – “lending voice” and “acting.” So, perfect diction is not enough to begin voice over training – the student must also enroll in an acting course before joining the voice over course.

What does a voiceover training course teach?

The student learns how to analyze and interpret commercial copy for announcer and real-person roles. He also learns how to interpret narrative copy and gets the hang of technical copy as well. Students learn how to coordinate the mind, mouth and voice efficiently, so that they may be able to sound really true to the personality they are playing. Taking direction is also mastered by the student.

A great voice actor training course makes students read, record, play back, listen, and then do it all over again until they get it right. Students learn techniques such as inflection, timing and articulation. They perform warm-ups and vocal exercises as well. They figure out how to preserve their voice health. Half-way into the voice over training course, students become proficient at using and modifying tone, pitch, delivery speed and volume for a variety of jobs.

Once a student completes the training, he learns how to market his skills, tap proper contacts, and land voice over work. Instructors of the voice over program also assist them in creating a voice over demo, which would become part of their portfolio. A solid voice over training course gives students the opportunity to work in a real studio and understand what they must and shouldn’t do in a sound booth and when behind the microphone.

Selecting a voice over training program

There are two aspects to voice training. A commercial voice over course must be opted for by students who are interested in selling. Commercial voice talents are employed for selling. TV advertisements, radio ads, phone and other media feature these voice overs. Selling skills are also covered by a voice over course since all commercial voice overs sell a service or a product. Acting skills are not dealt with by this course. Students who are interested in showbiz must opt for a TV and movie voice over and dubbing program. Such courses require lip-synching, and so the voice over actor has to learn acting skillsets too.

To conclude, all the world’s a stage and we must play a part. So if you would like to be a voice actor, and you want to learn how to raise your voice, better enroll in a reputed voice actor training course.

www.raptureprophecy.com I performed some bible research with a computer bible search (online bible) to see if the Powerful name JEHOVAH, shows up in the new bible versions? The New King James Version-NKJV, The New International Version- NIV, New American Standard Version- NASV, New Living Translation- NLT, The Message, Amplified Bible etc. The new bible versions have removed the Powerful name of the Lord JEHOVAH! Its not in the new bible versions, and I encourage (recommend) The Holy Bible King James Version KJV Interesting to know the Holy Bible King James Version (KJV) Shares the Powerful name JEHOVAH 7 Times

And how can you say the KJV is 100% accurate? They leave out God’s name. Except for in a few places.

Question by Mutual Help: Daniel 12:1 Is Michael an angel (archangel) of God?
Daniel 12:1 (KJV)

“At that time MICHAEL, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered”

Best answer:

Answer by danni_d21
Yes. There is only one archangel mentioned in the Bible: Michael.

The prefix “arch,” meaning “chief” or “principal,” implies that there is only one archangel, the chief angel; in the Scriptures, “archangel” is never found in the plural. First Thessalonians 4:16, in speaking of the preeminence of the archangel and the authority of his office, does so in reference to the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.” It is, therefore, not without significance that the only name directly associated with the word “archangel” is Michael.—Jude 9.

(Mi′cha·el) [Who Is Like God?].

1. The only holy angel other than Gabriel named in the Bible, and the only one called “archangel.” (Jude 9) The first occurrence of the name is in the tenth chapter of Daniel, where Michael is described as “one of the foremost princes”; he came to the aid of a lesser angel who was opposed by “the prince of the royal realm of Persia.” Michael was called “the prince of [Daniel’s] people,” “the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of [Daniel’s] people.” (Da 10:13, 20, 21; 12:1) This points to Michael as the angel who led the Israelites through the wilderness. (Ex 23:20, 21, 23; 32:34; 33:2) Lending support to this conclusion is the fact that “Michael the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses’ body.”—Jude 9.

Scriptural evidence indicates that the name Michael applied to God’s Son before he left heaven to become Jesus Christ and also after his return. Michael is the only one said to be “the archangel,” meaning “chief angel,” or “principal angel.” The term occurs in the Bible only in the singular. This seems to imply that there is but one whom God has designated chief, or head, of the angelic host. At 1 Thessalonians 4:16 the voice of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ is described as being that of an archangel, suggesting that he is, in fact, himself the archangel. This text depicts him as descending from heaven with “a commanding call.” It is only logical, therefore, that the voice expressing this commanding call be described by a word that would not diminish or detract from the great authority that Christ Jesus now has as King of kings and Lord of lords. (Mt 28:18; Re 17:14) If the designation “archangel” applied, not to Jesus Christ, but to other angels, then the reference to “an archangel’s voice” would not be appropriate. In that case it would be describing a voice of lesser authority than that of the Son of God.

There are also other correspondencies establishing that Michael is actually the Son of God. Daniel, after making the first reference to Michael (Da 10:13), recorded a prophecy reaching down to “the time of the end” (Da 11:40) and then stated: “And during that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of [Daniel’s] people.” (Da 12:1) Michael’s ‘standing up’ was to be associated with “a time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time.” (Da 12:1) In Daniel’s prophecy, ‘standing up’ frequently refers to the action of a king, either taking up his royal power or acting effectively in his capacity as king. (Da 11:2-4, 7, 16b, 20, 21) This supports the conclusion that Michael is Jesus Christ, since Jesus is Jehovah’s appointed King, commissioned to destroy all the nations at Har–Magedon.—Re 11:15; 16:14-16.

The book of Revelation (12:7, 10, 12) specifically mentions Michael in connection with the establishment of God’s Kingdom and links this event with trouble for the earth: “And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled. And I heard a loud voice in heaven say: ‘Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down . . . On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea.’” Jesus Christ is later depicted as leading the heavenly armies in war against the nations of the earth. (Re 19:11-16) This would mean a period of distress for them, which would logically be included in the “time of distress” that is associated with Michael’s standing up. (Da 12:1) Since the Son of God is to fight the nations, it is only reasonable that he was the one who with his angels earlier battled against the superhuman dragon, Satan the Devil, and his angels.

In his prehuman existence Jesus was called “the Word.” (Joh 1:1) He also had the personal name Michael. By retaining the name Jesus after his resurrection (Ac 9:5), “the Word” shows that he is identical with the Son of God on earth. His resuming his heavenly name Michael and his title (or name) “The Word of God” (Re 19:13) ties him in with his prehuman existence. The very name Michael, asking as it does, “Who Is Like God?” points to the fact that Jehovah God is without like, or equal, and that Michael his archangel is his great Champion or Vindicator.
